By default, Tomcat listens on 0.0.0.0, which means it will accept requests directed to any IP address that targets your system. You do want to configure the desired ports. - Chuck THIS COMMUNICATION MAY CONTAIN CONFIDENTIAL AND/OR OTHERWISE PROPRIETARY MATERIAL and is thus for use only by the intended recipient. Aha, so I have to have publicly accessible IP and then in the server.xml in to set the Port I want to use and in to set the IP. If so, do you have a static IP for your domain ? Hello, My applications are running locally on Tomcat and I would like to make them accessible from the Internet, but I have absolutely no idea how. I've tried searching with google, but couldn't find much info. So I think that first of all I should buy a domain. Let's say that It's name is www.something.com/me . Then somehow I should tell that this domain should point to my computer at home. Then I'm asking myself, how to install Tomcat in such a way that it will accept connections from the Internet. So I'm not really sure how can I do this thing, maybe someone can point me the right direction? By default, Tomcat listens on the specified port(s) for connections to any IP address that reaches the box. You only need virtual hosts if you're going to have different application sets for each host. - Chuck THIS COMMUNICATION MAY CONTAIN CONFIDENTIAL AND/OR OTHERWISE PROPRIETARY MATERIAL and is thus for use only by the intended recipient.
