Hi,

I've had good luck with Flashcards++

It's accessible and flexible.

2015-09-03 Thread Shai
Hi,
You could also use the notes app that is on the phone; this is pretty
accessible and is not something extra that you would have to download.

2015-09-03 Thread Kimberly
Flashcardlet is a pretty straightforward and VO friendly app. I think it will
do what you want and doesn't have a lot of fancy bells and whistles.

RE: app for capturing jaws keyboard commands and instructions - database? flash cards?

2015-09-03 Thread Alan Lemly
Anna,

Thanks for the link to the Flashcards ++ app.

I'm hoping you can answer a couple of questions I have about this app. I'm
interested in using it to learn JAWS commands and might use it to learn
other stuff such as braille provided what I'm conceptualizing about it is
how it works.

It sounds like from the app description that I can set up an Excel file
which I'm envisioning to be a 2-column spreadsheet with, for example, JAWS
keyboard commands in the first column with a description of what those
commands do in the second column. I'm assuming this spreadsheet could be
placed in a Dropbox folder and then uploaded to the app in order to produce
the flash cards? Am I close to how it works? Are there any hoops you have to
jump through to produce the flash cards from an Excel file? I see that the
app has in-app purchases. Are these required in order to upload Excel files
to the app?

Thanks for any help you can provide with these questions. If the app has a
user guide or helpful support on how to use it, please just point me in that
direction and I'll do the research.

Alan Lemly

app for capturing jaws keyboard commands and instructions - database? flash cards?

2015-09-02 Thread Jodie Hoger
Hi Peeps,
I really need to build my capacity in maximising jaws and other screen reader
commands which I can check via my iPhone whilst working on my laptop or to
refer to when assisting other screen reader users on the fly.
Do any of you have app recommendations such as databases or flash card or index
card apps that you have found useful in sorting out such info? I need something
that is systematic and that will be easy to refer to quickly.
I figured I would check with you people first before trying out a heap of apps
myself so that I don't reievent the wheel so to speak - smile.
I look forward to your feedback and advice.
Thanks,
Jo
