[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] [Created] T223904: Edit summary entity links using namespace aliases are not formatted using label
DSGalaktos created this task. DSGalaktos added a project: Wikidata. Restricted Application added a subscriber: Aklapper. TASK DESCRIPTION When an edit summary is formatted, Wikibase replaces links to entities with their label in the user language: for example, `Property:P31` turns into instance of (P31) <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P31>. However, this doesn’t seem to happen for links that use a namespace alias – `P:P31` just becomes P:P31 <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P31>. (This test revision <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:Diff/945407950> has both cases in the summary.) It would be convenient if those links were also formatted using the label. [Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] [Commented On] T153563: Consider switching to HTTPS for Wikidata query service links
DSGalaktos added a comment. FWIW, there was also a bit of discussion about this on PC following the initial WDQS Beta announcement: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Project_chat/Archive/2015/09#Wikidata_Query_Service It’s also worth noting that, thanks to HSTS, your browser will automatically upgrade the connection to HTTPS without transmitting anything over HTTP, as long as you’ve visited wikidata.org at least once in the last year (31536000 seconds).TASK DETAILhttps://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T153563EMAIL PREFERENCEShttps://phabricator.wikimedia.org/settings/panel/emailpreferences/To: DSGalaktosCc: DSGalaktos, MisterSynergy, Esc3300, Smalyshev, MZMcBride, Aklapper, Th3d3v1ls, EBjune, mschwarzer, Avner, Zppix, debt, Gehel, D3r1ck01, Jonas, FloNight, Xmlizer, Izno, jkroll, Wikidata-bugs, Jdouglas, aude, Deskana, Dinoguy1000, Manybubbles, faidon, Seb35, Mbch331, Jay8g, Krenair, fgiunchedi___ Wikidata-bugs mailing list Wikidata-bugs@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikidata-bugs
[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] [Created] T127913: Running query twice reports duration since Epoch instead of since starting point
DSGalaktos created this task. Herald added subscribers: StudiesWorld, Aklapper. Herald added a project: Discovery. TASK DESCRIPTION Open any query. Preferably a cheap one, e. g. this one <https://query.wikidata.org/#SELECT%20%3Fcat%0AWHERE%0A{%0A%09%3Fcat%20%20wdt%3AP31%20wd%3AQ146.%0A}%0ALIMIT%201>. Double-click the Execute button. In the “in X ms” field, you’ll very briefly see the duration of the first execution, and then an incorrect duration for the second one: > in 1456271541357 ms This is simply the number of milliseconds since the Epoch (verify with `date -d @`). The first execution probably resets the start timestamp to 0 ms when it finishes, and then the second execution calculates the offset from that. The simplest solution, I suppose, is to deactivate the Execute button until the currently running query terminates (result, timeout, error, …). [Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] [Commented On] T95287: [Epic] separate identifiers from other statements in UI
DSGalaktos added a subscriber: DSGalaktos. DSGalaktos added a comment. Are catalog codes (P528 <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P528>) also identifiers in this scheme? Currently, it’s unclear whether catalog code statements (with the catalog itself as qualifier <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P972>) should include the catalog prefix or not (e. g. “BWV 565” vs just “565”), so I’d be very happy if this new datatype could solve that problem as well. [Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] [Created] T103378: Dates with “month” precision are offset by one month on Wikipedia
DSGalaktos created this task. DSGalaktos added a subscriber: DSGalaktos. DSGalaktos added a project: Wikidata. Herald added a subscriber: Aklapper. TASK DESCRIPTION For example, compare South Pole Telescope (Q1513315) with South Pole Telescope (enwiki). On Wikidata, the construction time (qualifiers of statement “significant event: construction”) is November 2006–February 2007; in the Wikipedia template, which gets its data from Wikidata, it is instead October 2006–January 2007. In general, the date on Wikipedia appears to always be one month before the date on Wikidata; it even rolls over the turn of the year correctly (January 2007 → December 2006). You can also reproduce this on the Sandbox (Q4115189 / Wikipedia:Wikidata/Wikidata Sandbox) by adding a statement “significant event (P793): construction (Q385378)” with start time (P580) and/or end time (P582) qualifiers to the sandbox item, and adding `Infobox telescope` to the sandbox article. This only happens for times with precision “month”; both date and year work fine. I think this issue is part of T87764, but I’m probably not allowed to set that. PS: What’s the usual way to prevent autolinking of Wikidata property numbers P123 to Phabricator pastes? I put a zero-width space between the P and the number, but that’s not very convenient :) TASK DETAIL https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T103378 EMAIL PREFERENCES https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/settings/panel/emailpreferences/ To: DSGalaktos Cc: Aklapper, DSGalaktos, Wikidata-bugs, aude, Malyacko, P.Copp ___ Wikidata-bugs mailing list Wikidata-bugs@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikidata-bugs
