Re: [WISPA] 1.9ghz?

I use dect phones across my voip. I have two voips, VOX and my own *
rolled system with voipjet as the upstream and I have no problems with
quality.

I've got those Panasonic ones. Maybe thats the difference.

 I use a $20 2.4 or 5.8ghz walmart low-tech special and have the best
sound quality short of using a corded phone. I prefer corded handset.

 Hi,

I wasn't aware you could get a cordless phone that operates in 1.9ghz???

Uniden DECT2080-2 shows it operates in the interference free cordless
 frequency.

2008-11-07 Thread cw
DECT phones have been used in Europe for twenty years. FCC just got around
to providing the 1.9GHz spectrum for U.S. to use them in past year. The
technology is simply cell phone AP and clients which is highly advanced
today and works better than anything else. One line is all there is just
like cell phones. I've seen a two line version that is only available in
U.K. - cw

Have you used any DECT phones that have more then 6 channels on the base
and can handle more then 2 lines per repeater??

Yes, the DECT phones are great! I've had a Uniden set for about a year or
more. I think I've got five or six handsets throughout the house. They are
a bit older in design (no keypad backlight), but the newer styles are pretty
slick.

Definitely go for DECT when it comes to cordless phones IMO.
