A friend wants to design a site to look something like

Whats the best approach for this? dividing the image up?
How would I over lay the header,content,footer?

Hi Terrence, I'm not trying to force a user to print in Landscape (you
need ScriptX ActiveX to do that on IE 6)..
The regular view and then print view are different and I'm trying to
get them to be the same. Trying to make them look the same when you
print..

help me with adjusting the css so that the print preview looks the
same as it does in the browser.

[WSG] absolute positioning?

Hey, I'm trying to build a daily schedule view which will have
schedules from 6am - 10pm.
I'm not sure if this is the correct approach so I'm asking for help...

I was thinking of using a table with 3 columns, 1 column for the name,
1 column for job title and 1 column for their daily schedule. I was
thinking of using spans for the various tasks that the users will have
throughout their day.

the border is just for viewing..
I believe what I need to use is absolutle positioning however when I
add that to the inline CSS statement, the width works but the span is
moved out of the cell table element.
I'm no CSS wiz, I'm just a beginner and hoping one of you can suggest
some sites to look at, tutorials or code snippets.

I also tried all CSS and didnt get too far either..

Yeah, I really like that one too. I can use a color spy and get a hex
value and plug it into that and get a few difference variances.

[WSG] Absolute position and percentage height with IE??

Does IE not like height:#% when you specify the position:absolute attribute?

In FF it displays the way I want it to however in IE it's messed up..

Can someone take a look at it and see if I've over/under doing it, or
if it looks right.
I'm having problems with positioning once below the header.. it's
giving me headaches.
I'm kind of curious as to why you'd pick one over the other? I know
that with regard to font-size (ems change in regard to the user
changing the font size on the client browser and pxs dont)
But what about when specifing height of elements.
I'm definitely a n00b at CSS.. I mainly deal with code behind the
scenes but I'm really wanting to learn how to design the front end.
