unplugging PRI cables generates major alarms on ALL telecom systems...
in our lab, we do that every day and don't have to restart anything...

Hello people,
i have a question concerning a quad-pri card (tor2 is the module for
this card)
i want the span to be completely shut down when alarms occur on it; i
want the span to be shut down immediately to avoid compromising the
whole box if one E1 line goes crazy and to be activated only by t
it works well on sip to me too, the problem is in chan_iax

tos 16 = 0x10 (lowdelay).. that part is ok, but is a workaround, NOT a
fix-up...

Hello people,
It seems that my * does not react to tos= field in iax.conf. I
am using latest CVS HEAD code.
Can anybody help me with this issue?
ps:
if i go to chan_iax2.c and modify the initial definition of tos
variable, it works fine marking packets with the value specified there:
static int
What standard does your telco send the caller-id in ? ETSI FSK,

hello,
from time to time my cpu load grows up to 100% and the system becomes
unusable (calls get disconnected, quality is VERY poor, etc.)
the only solution i found so far is to restart the asterisk service,
but it's definitely not a way of solving the problem.
My * version is Asterisk CVS-HEAD
which country are you in and what is your provider ?

Hello list,
i configured correctly the codes in features.conf, loaded successfully
res_features, but while in a call (any type of call including zaptel to
zaptel, zaptel to sip, sip to sip) both sides hear DTMFs and nothing
happens...
i'm i missing something?
Thanks,
Calin.
Hello,
I need some help setting up statistics per call. I need to store in a
database call quality details such as jitter, packets lost and other
informations. Is there any way to do this?
I'd really appreciate some links or any other kind of info on this.
Thanks,
Calin.

hello list,
last night i upgraded my asterisk box from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 and my music
on hold did not work anymore.
my setup is ISDN (wct1xxp)->SIP (Audiocodes mp124) and reverse.
the system refuses to activate music on hold resource... i returned to
1.0.5 and it works fine again...

Hello list,
Is it possible to implement an application that satisfies the following
scenario using agi and php?
- user picks up phone
- he wants to redirect all his calls to the cellphone
- he dials *400 for example and all the calls addressed to him are
diverted

Hello list,
I need a few words about the difference between sangoma quad E1 cards
w/dsp vs. digium tormenta2 compatible cards.
Does * really make use of the dsp's on these boards(sangoma)? How many %
CPU do they each need (sangoma vs. digium)?
Unfortunatelly i do not have the sangoma cards yet,
yes, it works great even on a very high load machine with two tormenta2
quad E1/PRI cards.

I had the same problems with Tormenta2 card from Digium.
Same behaviour, both cards were receiving irq`s, but when spans got up,
lots of messages ("Bad FCS") came up too on my asterisk console...
everything died with kernel panic in the end...
The motherboard was an Asus with dual Pentium3 933MHz
Hello,
I had two quad-E1 Tormenta2 cards in my system and yesterday i had to
replace the CPU. I noticed the rotary switch on each card that sets the
card number or ID...
Both switches were set up on 0 and everything worked fine. Should i set
one card to 0 and the other one to 1, or... "if it work
Hello,
Are there any T1/E1 PCMCIA cards available on the market supported by
zaptel drivers and asterisk ?
I need to make some demos at my clients with asterisk and it's a pain to
move around with a midi-tower computer just for that.
Thanks,
Calin.
