really find having an installer useful I can fix it then.

Another reason for the installer not being used is that the database structure
has changed significantly , new tables have been added , additional fields have
been added in tables , so in addition to the installer an upgrade script has to
be created to address the changes

Tim is right, you have to create the DB manually and address it in the
connecting file. The installer has been left out for a while due to a
couple of reasons; labor an financial capacity being the major ones. If
someone can fix that and share the solution, it would be great.

As I remember the installer doesn't work on that branch. I always
install the database directly.

in most cases the permissions are not correct set for this version after
installation. Please make sure that the following folder has write
permissions for apache:
/gui/smarty_template/templates_c
Alternatively the database is not correct what you're using. For that
details I would sugge
