I think I have found the problem. It's rather annoying. My host is a vps
hosted at alfahosting.de. They have migrated my guest to another host system
recently as there seemed to be problems with the old host. By migrating they
seem to have messed up the RPM package database and some other thin

Have you tried a 'yum clean all' ? That usually resolves this sort of
