So, I never had to do that -- or more precisely I have never done that.

Forgive me if I came across as very angry. I actually am not. I am
frustrated, but I do not find fault with anyone in this regard.

I'm having trouble setting the timezone on my phone running ASU. I set
the time/date via the command line (date -s) and that works fine.
Next, I link /etc/localtime:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/New_York
/etc/localtime
But date still show UTC time:

I'm trying to figure out how exactly to setup opkg conf files to keep up
to date with latest.
At first, I grabbed the conf files from Michael Sheldon:

This was a marked improvement.
Then later after a daily opkg update/upgrade stuff was not work

Once I followed Micheal's instructions to point to
downloads.openmoko.org and update/upgrade, I can now launch exposure.

I recently pointed opkg towards:

I notice that gpsd in not there. I installed it from

Is there any particular reason it's not in ASU? I ran it along with
TangoGPS without

bad SIM, a bad type of SIM, or a bad provider? I've not dealt much with
SIMs before, so when going back to the AT&T store, I'd like to know how

research officer of F-Secure in IIEE Security and Privacy (Nov/Dec 07).
He touched on the topic of security and mobile phones, even mentioned
