as my primary phone till now.

Hi,
I've been running my freerunner with the 08/08/2008 qtopia release. Now
I'm using it as a phone I've noticed the GSM reception is poor... or
more to the point qtopia seems to spend as much time reporting "No
network" as it does with a signal.
Has anylone looked into this? is it the fault

With the greatest respect I think people have good reason to
*complain*. Looking at these lists I'd bet there are more system
engineers and developers than *ordinary* users why? because we saw a
device that was open and accepted the fact that the software was in its

Yes, in the agps diagnostic tool under signal strength, if I put the
free runner out doors on a table standing so its facing up the signal
strength typically on sats high in the sky is around 28-30. Obviously
its weaker for those sats lower in the sky. It was a "fairly" clear day.

I've been playing with my GPS and finally got a fix using agps diag
tool. I stood the gta02 up on my garden table using a pop bottle :-) I
think bottom line the gta02 has a poor antenna in fact the first
time I got a fix I did so at the point I rested my free stylus on top of
the gta02!

Did you download it then scp it to the gta01? If you used wget on the
gta01 you have not got the file, only the agreement webpage. The file
should be 1.9MB in size.
BTW I got the file and opkg still will not install it, reports error 4.

I was being sarcastic. The $399 moko will somehow end up nearer 399
euro for those over the pond. its the same with all electronic

I agree, I'd like to pay for Freerunner 400$ in place of 399$

I would of thought in the EU you'd need a supplier who is big enough to
bring over GTA02s by the container-load, not in 10s. Its the only way
to keep the price down everywhere else.

Well, I don't think that a seller buys the shipping of each phone
