I found a blog, where someone built connman from source based on the
debuild command. With some modifcations the procedure worked on my Debian Sid
(unstable) distribution. The built connman binary depends on libxtables12 now.

Hi,
I just rebuilt a package with sbuild and this bumped the
dependency from libxtables11 to libxtables12.
It's also appears the package is missing a dependency on iptables
connmand won't start without xtables/libxt_standard.so which is
provided by iptables.

connman is useless on Debian stretch/sid for over a week now (see also
#844755). Are there some first ideas ongoing? Any
work-arounds known, that can be used in the meantime?

Dear Maintainer,
iptables depends on libxtables12 since today in Debian stretch/sid.
But installation of libxtables12 removes libxtables11, which is a
dependancy of connman:
# apt-get -s install libxtables12
