Had just watched an AVI file that had been interupted during download,
presumably making it incomplete. After VLC stopped, properties was
selected from the conext menu (to check if it was smaller than
expected), but nautilus crashed out
Unfortunately, the screenshot only shows a blue video... it is like
that, except the video is still showing in parts (exactly in the
position it would be if I wouldn't rotate the cube).
This is a shot of totem-xine actually, but it happens in both totem-xine
and totem-gstreamer. I'm adding a link
VLC shows the issue as well, but can be configured to use XVideo for
output, which makes it work as shown in the screenshot.

Thank you for your bug. UID used for users start on 1000 on Debian or
Ubuntu, that's a correct default value then. If you have some special
need you can adjuste the gdm config according to that. Marking rejected,
that's not a bug, the configuration makes sense for Ubuntu

This is interesting. I thought that the problem was related to the
number of pngs I had cropped then saved, because I'd been working with
