I could not replicate for my latest photos this evening what I reported
in #8.
Yet by fiddling in various ways, after a reboot I was able to coax
shotwell to import the photos on the iPhone. I then had command line
access to those photos in the location where shotwell dropped them.

Yes, many Ubuntu packages are customized and often don't work unless you
use the same customization options in your build. You can find out what
those are by running 'apt-get source FOO' and then looking in
debian/rules. However it's too complicated to write a clear guide for.
Also, it sounds like
I suggest keeping the gnome-shell task around, just so people can find
the bug for de-duplicating.

Yes the issue is annoying.. To have the second screen Night Light
enabled, change the default screen to the other screen and back to first
one - the second screen should have Night Light enabled. The same thing
you have to do when disabling Night Light. - at least it works for me

Update - that ssh-add -d did not actually work. It appears that it does
get the 'ssh-add -l' output back to correct, but any attempt to actually
USE the agent immediately re-adds the entry with only the filename/path
as the comment.

I can't reproduce this problem on Ubuntu 17.10 with Files 3.26 so I'm
going to mark this as Fix Released (please revert if you can reproduce
in 17.10) and please could Sebastien (Bug Control member) mark this as
affecting the Xenial as New? :)

I would suggest having this bug filed marked against the Xenial series
as 'Confirmed' since if it's been changed then the Xenial behavior
likely wasn't intended and then mark the bug in general as Fix Released?
Could Sebastien mark this as affecting Xenial because he is a Bug
Control member?

Hello Jeroen, thanks for your response, but it does not work for me.
When I start my Ubuntu with wyland, and it happens since 17.10, some
applications like vokoscreen, touchpad indicator does not work.
Vokoscreen does not capture video (yes for audio), and touchpad
indicator does not start.
