It also makes it difficult to drag a window between monitor displays.

It then goes into a loop where the window reopens in the foreground repeatedly
despaite attempts to close it.

Totem is a simple yet featureful media player for GNOME
I have just tested in Precise Pangolin 12.04 Alpha 2 and there is no
improvement.
The BBC iPlayer plugin will show the available channels and categories but any
attempt to list programmes will result in the following in a terminal

Just tested in Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin Alpha2 and Coherence plugin is
still missing.
I have installed the totem-plugins-extra and the BBC iPlayer has appeared as a
plugin for example, but no Coherence.

If I run rhythmbox with an external device connected (Samsung Galaxy S2 in mass
storage mode), then rhythmbox hangs indefinitely and needs to be force quit.
Nothing useful from the terminal output while this is happening...

adequate for compiz effects.
Then I tried fglrx but had issues with the dual monitor setup and setting
resolutions with amdcccle so I uninstalled fglrx.

Confirmed again with the full release of Oneiric.
No sign of Coherence in the plugins for totem even though totem-plugins-extra
is installed and the package details (displayed in synaptic) indicate that
coherence is one of the component plugins.

If I revert to a previous version using the commands below, it does work

When I reboot, each time the desktop wallpaper for the smaller monitor

Ok, I have a dual boot on this machine.
Both partitions have Oneiric running with fglrx driver now installed.
I have not installed Ubuntu updates on the second partition and the environment
is working better.
I only just updated the linux kernel to 3.0.0-12, confirmed no change, then
fglrx to 2:
To check if it was hardware related, I have just swapped out the video
card for a 5770 and have found the same issues.
The same dialog pops up when running Unity-2D and trying to set the
"Displays" app to extend the desktop across both monitors.

If I run the "Monitors" control center app, it does not detect my dual monitors
and lists just a single unknown monitor.
With the proprietary fglrx driver, both the Benq and Samsung monitors are

Maverick and also Oneiric now but not Natty.
The uPNP plugin seems to be missing from Oneriric even though it still mentions
it in Synaptic as one of the items in totem-plugins-extra.
I will file that as a new bug.

I just got it with Oneiric also after all latest updates today.
I noticed that there were three wifi icons at the top of the screen in Gnome.
(having trouble with unity and fglrx but that is a different story).
On hovering over the icons it became clear that the menus beneath them were ok

Just clicked on the Evolution email envelope icon on the top taskbar.
It showed me the first welcome screen, I clicked Forward to the "Restore from
Backup" screen and then it failed with the error above.
I could not reproduce the second time I tried this but will restart to

After a restart, there are no title bars in any windows on the desktop
and they all fix themselves to the upper left hand corner of the screen.
This is with all the latest updates to Lucid.
If I manually start metacity, the title bars reappear.
Confirmed as being deployed and fixed.
