The package works great :-)
For jaunty it needs to be combined with the new glitch free version of
pulseaudio to prevent sound ugliness (lots of glitches/corruption) on
resume

in that case the fix is to add that command as a resume script (until it
can be fixed in alsa).

Would a better solution be to look at the underlying UI (or lack
thereof) functionality behind audio preview ranther than just
selectively disabling it? The upstream bug here discusses it:

I think that moving away from the term archive is a great idea as whilst
in the past people may have used archiving to store old files these days
it is mainly used for email attachments and similar. I think that we
should definetly include an imperitive verb such as create as it gives
users a
I agree, a package sounds much more like an archive than what is
essential (from a new users perspective) an installer. On the other hand
package is established with more knowlegable users as is (to a lesser
extent) archive so unless we can think of a name which is actually
unambiguously better
@Dana Goyette
This is a fairly broken hack but you can work around that setting by setting
the gconf key to 1 and then enabling horizontal scrolling in
gpointing-device-settings
Changing the key got tap-to-click working again for me :-)

Touchpad Tap Clicking Broken (scrolling also)
this seems to be fixed in the glitch free pulseaudio release in openSUSE

Yes, they do appear to have fixed this in Natty by setting the script's
shell to /bin/bash

I think that now it is time to stop looking at synonyms and accept that
there is not always a perfect answer - the problem is that users are
required to know what this technical term/operation is non-transparently
during every day tasks, not what term is used.

Archive Manager doesn't mean
I agree that this bug has gone on for way too long for something so
trivially fixable; I would half tempted to flex my C# coding skills on
this one if there was a hope of any such patch being accepted.

@cyrildz but would a better solution not simply to be to preview the
audio file on clicking a play button displayed on the icon? That way it
is still easy to access but less likely to be triggered accidentally.
