Don't recall just when it came out but - Biggest problem with it was finding someone to have a QSO with. Once you did the link was very good. I think it was also used by a lot of the early BBS stations. Of course that was the problem with any ARQ mode that came along. Back in 1977 or so when y

Me too, great for testing things. I've been sailing for a week and I've run tests with antennas and modes during that time. It's great to have an automated station to connect to. I've connected to my own home schack and to a friends, he's away at work so an arq-mode is the only way to go. Gtor was
