We've fixed this up with some carefully crafted SQL to update the policies to
the Anonymous group for the bitstreams in the thumbnail bundles, but it would
be interesting to know if this is actually how things are meant to work, ie

Hi,
We have a situation where some items in a collection are restricted, ie you
need to login to access the full version. However we want the thumbnails and
branded previews to still show up for the general public.
When we run the thumbnail generator, it seems to inherit the permissions from

Hi, I was curious if anyone is incorporating a step where you embed metadata
into PDFs submitted to your repositories (or before you batch load them, if
you're doing that)? I'm researching potential tools for doing so (both Doc Info
and XMP metadata), for material that we are batch loading. I fe
As Tim's response may have suggested to you: you really need to ask
your lawyer if you want a defensible answer.
That said, BSD and GPL being what they are, I think it more likely
that there would be an objection on *your* side, since GPL is much more
stringent. That is, you'd have to make certa
Yes, we can generate all kinds of documents using the Confluence wiki tool.
Older versions are always available. I have
a printed version from 1..3 to the current version in my office. (Although in
print!)

So you can generate HTML and PDF from the wiki?
What about older re
I would assume that before the final release of 1.7 the docbook.xml files will
be removed. The plan is that there will be

Apropos documentation - how is it with the offcial documentation
lcoation and obsolete locations? I never noticed that a change was
announced. I'm asking because of this (see
I'd like to add that, if you have the time and resources and
inclination, your experience with the installation and upgrade

Hello Jose,
there is no patch for collection based sorting of bitstreams.
For 1.7 the general ordering of bitstreams has been made configurable, see
https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-192
Hope that helps

I found information on the wiki on how to change the displayed item
metadata for the JSP UI:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Change+displayed+item+metadata+%28JSP%29
by editing the webui.itemdisplay.default setting in dspace.cfg.
Is there no way to do this on the XML UI?
