it just fine tunes what’s displayed by the computer, not the unit itself.
The software, IMO, could use a bit of modernization. Really wish it could be
open-sourced.

fact it looks like all it does is update firmware, and test macros... I
see no settings of any kind for the W2...

I don't own one of these, but I think calibration is done with the W2
Utility, using the special USB cable that comes with the W2.
