You should be able to select the graphic in Word and copy it to the
clipboard. Then paste it into a graphics tool, i.e., Photoshop. Then you
can save it as whatever format you prefer and import this, by reference,
into Frame.

I did this recently. I saved the Word doc as .html. This puts all the
graphics (it seems) into a folder in their native format/resolution.
The folder contained graphics in .wmf, .wmz, .emf, .emz, .png, .gif, and
.jpg formats. There was often a resized .jpg in the folder also.
