hello, i'm trying to install freebsd 4.8-r from a cd and i keep getting this line while probing: acd0: MODE_SENSE_BIG command timeout - resetting ata1: resetting devices .. done i keep getting those 2 lines over and over, can someone help me please? thanks, nader

I'm getting the following error repeated to the screen when the 4.7 install boot reaches ata: acd0: MODE_SENSE_BIG command timeout - resetting ata1: resetting devices .. done I thought that this was fixed in a 4.7-PRERELEASE according to the 4.6 errata? I tried the fix on the 4.6 errata

it gives some errors at the end. I saw somewhere about a bug in the acd driver, but that seems to be when you mount a drive and it gives the acd0: MODE_SENSE_BIG command timeout - resetting error. But this is at boot time already, no CD in the drive. This is the only device on that IDE
