Hi,
i stepped little further in the last hours. I copied the ebuild to my
layman overlay (luman) and tried to emerge. I got the same error you got
compiling your special version!
At the moment I am cloning the official bzr repository (>1GB) which
means waiting a long time at 1mbit DSL :(
When clone
Hi ,
Thank you Lukas for your post.
The Nighshade soft i use is a LSS version compiled for small planetariums
by Yves Lhoumeau and Lionel Ruiz.
I can only get the sources here :

The sabayon Nightshade ebuild is diff

Apart from testing the software inside the VM ... I got my first own
2.2-kernel booted in there ;-)
I was able to add some other features I missed before, looks O

Yes and no ... the software running in the VM is somehow compiled

addition:
within vmware-context I get a virtual PIIX4-IDE-controller.
Sorry folks, I get OT again.
I already spent around 3 days now fiddling around with a new and shiny
virtualization server running am64.
Issue:
I have to run a guest which is old:
Suse Linux 6.1, with a 2.2.5 kernel.
ext2-filesystems in there ...
I run that one OK on an older gentoo-host with
The Link you postet is outdated. I copied the ebuild to my overlay and
will try with the most recent version.
Lets see if the Problem persists

Hi,
I always prefer to NOT install software this way into my gentoo. Instead
of this I first check http://gpo.zugaina.org/ if there is already an
ebuild or outdated ebuild for this piece of software. If not I begin to
develop my own ebuild.
In this case there is already one (sabayon-overlay). Howe

Something is wrong.

Hi everybody,
Since a few months i have a problem about compiling Nightshade soft.
Nightshade is a full dome planetarium opensource software.

Nightshade is not in portage so i have to manually install it (./configur

The only significant external elisp I have is nxhtml (which I rarely
use).

Hi,
upgrading from mesa-9.0_pre20120918 to mesa-9.0 broke some package,
among them ati-drivers.
They have remove glu. Installing media-libs/glu in addition now (never
needed it before) restores the essential
/usr/include/GL/glu.h file.
Helmut.
Hi,
I'm using kernel 3.6.1-gentoo (which claims to have fixed a synaptics
modules bug) with
xorg-server-1.11.4-r1 (I can't use a more recent one because my ATI
graphics card is "too old"
for ati-drivers > 12.4) and xf86-input-synaptics-1.6.2.
After a few minutes, it segfaults the kernel ==>
