emerge -uav gcc
gcc-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4
source /etc/profile

Thanks for your help. I downloaded that library and put it into
/var/lib. Now I can start portage without complaining about missing
library, but my system is still broken. I tried to emerge that
libstdc++-v3, but I got following error:
