I have a public GitHub repository to which a few of us have write access (IOW, a few of us can merge pull requests).
When I get a pull request, it has the user name of the person who pushed the change; however, after I merge the pull request, the commit history and the file history both show my user name as "authored by". Is this a configurable setting? Am I doing something wrong? I notice on other repositories that authors' names can match the name of the person who submitted the change. This is what I want so the people making the suggestions can get credit for making them. I'm fairly new to GitHub and I'm not sure what's going on.
