Yes, I have read Glidden's book and feel it's appropriate for YA. There is
nothing age-inappropriate, IMHO, in the book (e.g. no scenes of Israeli-Arab or
Israeli-Palestinian violence), no sexual scenes. I'll leave it to you to judge

lot of problems... But still there is a luck of objectivity in this particular

I totally agreed with Annette. It was a marvelous educational experience and
great to meet the other participants. I had a good basic knowledge of the
background of converso Jews, including reading years ago Cecil Roth’s book, A
History of the Marranos— a pejorative term no longer used.
