After installing Debian 8.5 on my first computer I can now switch tabs as
expected. The bug seems to have been caused by SolydK.

I have installed Debian 8 and KDE 4.14.2 on an Acer laptop computer, and on
that computer I can switch tabs as expected. Is the above bug really a bug in
SolydK and not in KDE? Because I now have KDE 4.14.2 also

I do not know what grouped windows are. In KDE 4.5.1 I could switch tabs with
Ctrl+Tab using the setting mentioned. I use Oxygen.

The action you configured is for switching tabbed (grouped) windows. If you are
using the KWin window manager, and a decoration able to show grouped windows
