I'll leave it off, I had to set it to boot the live cd. There is a bug

After using that patched kernel for 2 days, it's also solves the suspend
freezing problem, i am able to close the lid and open it without removing the
i2c_hid.
Also theres no random freezes/slowdowns like on the 4.14-rc7 kernel.

Allright, I will test out multiple kernels and share the results.
However my hardware might not be supported for older kernels, Atleast my
multi monitor screen setup will not work < 4.17

sysfs shows the linkspeed of 16 GT/s devices as "Unknown", so the user can't
actually see what speed it is capable of, or currently running at.
[Test Case]
For a PCIe device that supports 16 GT/s:
