Got 10.10 installed and running and noticed that the 32 PAE kernel is installed
as default. Is this an Ubuntu thing or waht?

the CPU has the VT option you really need 1GiB of RAM to
make it a pleasant experience.
I’ve run VB on Lubuntu with Lubuntu in VB on a 2.4GHz P4 with 1GiB of RAM and
it was slower than running Lubuntu on an old 266MHz machine, very jerky and
stuttering.

takes 16MiB, which still leaves 240 MiB.
Strangely, I have just installed on an older 700 MHzIntel based machine and
that installed OK with only 192 MiB of RAM and only took an hour including the
online updates.

On the two machines I have tried the CD is not ejected at end of installation.
Anybody else seeing this or is it my old machines.

OpenSUSE, Fedora and Mandriva ,and they exhibit similar erratic behavour.

bottom panel, select Add/Remove Panel Items then
Application Launch Bar., click edit another window should open. In the new
window click Accessories, LxTerminal then click Add and LxTerminal should move
to the left hand panel and appear on the bottom panel.

Any thoughts about using the Ubuntu font as default in Lubuntu or is it a bit
late in the process for that.
Just changed the default on one system to it and it is nicer than the Sans that
is the current default.
