Hello, I have just upgraded to lyx 2.1 from lyx 2.07 (on Win 7 32 bit).
I understand that there is a significant change with the way beamer is handled,
and wanted to see what happens to my old presentations.

1. You did not put a binary of the latest release for Win7. Is such a binary
planned?
2. Is there a way to install the update without a binary? I assume I have to
use cygwin, but am not familier with the program, so any kind of instructions
will be of great help.

I cannot export or update a LyX file to any format except text. I already
found out this is due to the path of my file, and other paths are possible. I
