Hi Sarah,
Unfortunately I don’t think Pages is a good tool for what you want to do. I
know of no way to do that in Pages apart from copying a paragraph or two at a
time.
That’s why for that kind of writing I prefer to use Scrivener. It’s designed
for just that type of thing. It’s great for
VoiceOver is reading footnotes for me too. I could not, however, find a way to
insert an endnote.
I am running Pages version 5.5 (2109). I did just get a message that an update
is available, but now I’m worried that you might have the updated version,
Sarah. I don’t want to lose access to
Good morning everyone;
Since upgrading to Yosemite, does anybody know how to enable the sounds for

Actually what I did was I counted lines. I had 50 lines to select so I turned
off voice over, selected 50 lines, hit cmd c, turned on voice over and moved
the suction successfully.
Actually I hit cmd X but you get the idea.

Sure. Hit option pus f12. You might have to hold down the fn key as well then
go to sound effects and go to enable feedback when changing volume. Check that
box.

Nick,
I just downloaded and spendt an hour or so going through the free version of
scrivener and its getting started tutorial.
Yep! it does look like a great app for serious, complex writing projects. And,
it looks to be highly accessible with VO - one of those really VO friendly apps

Hello Nick,
The version of Pages that came out this week does not break footnotes! I just
tested it. You can still rename tables, too.
Cheers,
Anne

Hi Colin -
Under keyboard/input, the only entry in the table was British, so I clicked the
add button and got a text field to input a keyword for an input option, so I
entered the word Spanish in that text field, which then appeared in the table,
under British, but when I selected it, no
Oh nice. How do you rename a table/ I tried a control click but did not see,
unless I missed it, a rename function.
On the subject of foot notes I hope that recording helped. I can see them in
the document but they don't show up as numbers, they sho up as nothing as you
can see.

Yeah as stated I got it to work. I just had to count lines. It worked like a
charm and the section now looks beautiful. As you all can see, I'm very
patient. lol! and I did it all with out the use of voice over and sighted
help which I guess is a good thing. lol!

I have confused myself a little here. As updated to Yosemite I took Sarah's
good advice and checked the sound feedback and now indeed I do have to press
Fn plus Option plus F11 F12. What has confused me is that I thought I did
not have to use the Fn key as I changed my keyboard to F1 etc.
System preferences, sounds.

I do not have to use the option key to change volume.
To change VO Volume bring up voiceover voice properties and then by
using VO Command left and right arrows keys until you hear volume and
then use the up and down arrows again in conjunction with command Vo to
change volume.

Hi!
I did it a different way!
When I got to the part where you were on the search field I did not put
anything in there!
What I did was arrow across to the table of Languages interacted with it then
arrowed down to Spanish stopped interacting then arrowed right and another
table with 2 options
Thanks, Anne. After reading your email I updated Pages and can also confirm
footnotes are still working for me too. I’m sure you’re right that tables can
still be renamed using the mouse key method, but I’ve found that difficult
enough at the best of times and failed to manage it just then
Hi Phil,
That’s right. I’m not sure they mention it in the tutorial but it’s possible to
move the various sections around in the binder (that is, the sidebar which
lists your various sections and sub-sections) using only the keyboard. Using
the arrow keys together with command and control to

When the phone rings, you should be able to answer with a two finger
