Back when I was going to Maine on a regular basis (1st wife's home), we
"lost" quite a few French Canadians each year when they drove their
DUI-piloted vehicles into moose. They (not the moose) would come south to
the States to party, would party too much, and do a head-on with a moose.

I heard several stories about hitting a moose at Forestry Canada
while I was doing my post-doc there. One fellow drove his MG midget
UNDER one, only thing that happened was he got moose fur in the top
clamps since the top was down. Very lucky, it'd have been squashed
flat if the moose had
Well, the myth got busted...if you speed up you do more damage to the car
(and the driver...). Of course, they weren't using MB cars, so the results
are invalid. ;-)
