Just an FYI, that it appears 7 mile Creek Park is closed until November.
I thought I saw a sign at the entrance indicating such a closure and the
Nicollet County webpage indicates the same.
I thought I might be able to save somebody a trip.

At the river- fox sparrow, song sparrow, northern flicker- golden kinglet- blue
heron - Sandhill crane - lots of eagles - bluebird- and two
Broad winged hawks! Eurasian collared dove pair is still in my neighborhood- at
my feeder- brown headed cowbird- juncos , cardinals, lots of grackles and red
Could that be a white mallard at Veteran’s Park in Richfield? Swimming around
the islands in the main pond. Same size, movement, and head shape as a
mallard, but all white with orange bill. A domestic bird?

There is a Red-throated Loon at the East Landfill Reservoir. This is in
Olmsted County - at the reservoir to the east of the Kalmar Landfill (which
is west of Rochester). It was originally spotted from the road on the west
side of the reservoir but the best view is from the top of the dam (access
