These boards also include a sync output to his new Dual Dekatron driver
board which helps with the display of seconds etc.

The gate waveform is OK, but the duty-cycle is very low so it will be
harder to see the LEDs on. Remember - This is a PMOS device, so it will be
'on' when the gate is low.
Now, for the drain, you can see that it's on for a short time, then decays

You have a few more things on the list this time around and I don't have the
time to research them all at the moment. As always I'm only interested in
symbol tubes that have more than +/-/sine. Do you know if any of these fit the
bill?

Those are just gorgeous! I don't think I could focus on any other projects
until I got those in a clock.

I was thinking of adapting that schematic. I'll have to take another look
at it and see if it's taking what is being said above into account.

These things are meant to be used and enjoyed, not hidden away in
drawers:-) will post updates on the case design as it progresses, but main
focus is still finishing up the Fortress and Harwell clocks with Grahame.

One man's garbage is another man's gold, I suppose. The only use I can
think of is for the hundreds or thousands digit for a monster clock that
displays the full date and time (14 tube clock; yeah I have one of
those.). You wont need that '1' digit for almost 80 years at the

I hope they noticed it has failing number 1!

I'm not sure what you can do with a tube with no number 1... it's not
really the best digit to be missing per se. If it was anything but 1 or 2
you could use it for the hours tens but no number 1?

Vgs(max) for the NDP6020P is 8v, so it may have been damaged by feeding it
12v. I'd add a resistor between the NDP6020P gate and the 2N7000 (so the
gate of the NDP gets pulled to 7V above ground (Vgs of 5V) when you want it
on.

The one with the numbers on the face is a nomotron tube. They work kinda like
a dekatron except they have numbers on them. The ones nick has are wild
looking tubes. I've never had any of those before.
