I am not exactly sure where this is but I know it is below the escarpment
and perhaps 3/4 mile north of the roosting rocks, where we had the bird
yesterday. If it continues to move around to such a degree, it could prove
difficult to find. The observers below were looking from the Ontario side.

While taking part in the Orient CBC this AM (had family obligation in the PM),
Bob Gerdts and I found an adult drake, along the East Marion Causeway, Suffolk
Co. We had a single, adult C. Eider there also. Cheers, B

I think this bird is the North American race, not the European race known as
"Common Gull". This is based on the unmarked bill and the smudgy head,
neck, and chest streaking.
