On Sunday morning (9/4) between ~ 0745 & 0915, Tom Moran and I visited the

Jamaica Bay. These are most likely the same two Pelicans reported as flyovers

Earlier this week I had Turkey Vultures soaring on three different
occasions, twice in Eastport and once over
Nickerson Beach, Nassau Co, NY 4 September
Whereas Wednesday, the beach was covered with shorebirds in and around tidal
pools, today, except for Sanderlings and a few Oystercatchers, the beaches were
barren except for a single BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER (the 4-500 Skimmers were
