OpenVAS users,
While scanning certain hosts, it looks like the scanner hangs on the two
following tests:
gb_ms_wmi_everyone_file-shares.nasl
gb_ms_wmi_accessible_shares.nasl
This is a SMB-authentified scan.
To complete the scan for all hosts, we have to disable the tests in our scan
config :
[root@openvas:~]$ dnf search openvas
this would have been enough a couple of weeks ago. but i already build
from src... and not on fedora...
happy thanksgiving anyway...

Getting below error while executing openvas-scapdata-sync,
openvas-certdata-sync.
what could be the issue , pls give me hint on this. is it firewall block issue?

It did not report the UDP port at all. In the host details, I have 0
open UDP

don't test their releases and they are releasing some broken packages. I
used OpenVAS from atomic repos 8 months ago and the release seemed fine
only found 1 minor bug but i'm not an expert user.

please install OpenVAS 8 or wait for the final release of OpenVAS 9
