Michael,
I'm getting 100s of virus emails a day plus a large number of undelivered
mail notices for email I didn't send. None of it comes from my machine
because it uses a pine mailer on a unix server that I access through telnet.
So obviously my return address has been forged. I've also received
I'm getting them from all over the place -- including an address that no
longer exists: [EMAIL PROTECTED] And I'm getting returned mail that I
never sent. So is everyone else I think. I don't know what the
technicalities are, but it is indeed spoofing various addresses that are
not themselves infec
I'm no expert but...I know of one machine that had the worm and Norton DID
find it. So maybe someone is spoofing.
Worms fake email addresses. I get about 25 messages a day from people I've
never heard of telling me that I sent somebody SOBIG or Blaster. There's
nothing you can do about it.

To get rid of the worm go to (note this is NOT the MS site which just
closes the security hole but leaves the worm there)
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.
Michael,
Never mind the machine. Love gives you grace, in trillions of different
ways. People will help you, don't worry. Not in the way of "Amazing grace"
but in true grace, real grace, the way things really are. Just look and see.
And then think. Do not act like an actor might.
Respectfully,
The blaster worm seems to be coming from my address. I use Norton
anti-virus. I have loaded the MS stuff to get rid of the worm. Norton
finds no sign of it. Could someone be spoofing my machine? Is there
something else I should do?
