We've had those at our museum as well! I believe those are Ground Beetles. From
what I was told, they wander in with visitors, and shouldn't cause any alarm.
They don't feast on collections items like other beetles.

This pest, approximately 1 mm long, was found along an outer wall in our
collections storage area. At first glance, I thought it was just another
springtail, but a look at him through the microscope suggested otherwise. Can
someone help me identify this little guy?
