It looks like changes are being rolled out to Radio.net website has
meant plugin is temporarily broken for some languages (e.g. Radio.net is
broken but Radio.de is OK).
When situation is a bit "clearer" (i.e. wait a bit to see if all sites
updated) an update to the plugin will be made.

No point - the source code of shark2 needs to be changed significantly
to work with either libusb or libhidapi.

The shark2 executable was developed for x86 (i.e 32 bit kernel) with
libhid and probably a very early 4.x kernel
Looking at the code for shark2 - it require the libhid library which has
been discontinued on many OS for many years.
