There is a WIN_USE command in QLay, so you can do WIN_USE FLP for
example.
The disk definitely have QDOS IDs.
Not to worry, it all works fine with DSDD QDOS disks, so I can
transfer like that using QLTOOLSQ, just that DD disks are slightly
slower to copy than HD ones. There is very little that I want to copy
which won't fit on DD disks.

Seems it really was the cheap far-east imports situation. All of the
really cheap ones seem to have disappeared. Companies which stock the
slightly more expensive european compatibles are still selling them.

Spectrum area. It's a while since I last fired up a spectrum emulator
to play it - I've been through several versions of QPC2 since then so

After inserting the JS ROM I noticed that pin 1 was missing on the
base () JS ROM. The QL still seems to work OK, which implies it's
probably an unused pin - anyone know?

Aurora/SGC with JM and SMSQ/E, and a QPC2 system, just about covers
anything apart from Q60 for software testing perhaps. Strange to look
back, I've never had a machine with JS ROM, apart from using a JS
image in QLay and QemuLator.
