I think it goes like this:
If you start from the bottom bracket there are really two vectors that
completely determine how a frame fits the rider. One is the vector from
the bb to the top of the headtube, and the other vector being from the bb
to the top of the seattube. If you keep

Hey All,
I mention this because nobody else has...yet. Maybe never, which would mean
that I am alone on this one, but here goes.
One of the things I have noticed as TTs have become angled is that they are

Hi all -
I'm looking for a decent 27.2 seatpost (sub $30 - prefer something
used/vintage and nice to cheap and new) and, on the off chance anyone
has one they want to part with, a Nitto Technomic Deluxe stem (26.0 x

I say stick with the Tektros. I have them on three bikes--QB, rando
and LHT--and they're great. They seem to set-up easy enough and work
well. I've used them in all kinds of conditions and have no complaints
and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I really like the CR720s. Got em on two bikes now, and will buy more.
Have early 90s Campy high-profile Touring cantis as well (http://

the old smooth brake post cantis are harder to adjust, if that matters

The real question is:
Do you want to support manufacturing in the USA and are you willing to pay
for that?
If so, the Paul's, Bruce Gordon's and others are fabulous.
If not, the Tektros are a fraction of the cost and work as well if not
better.

The kettle works wonders. I've had mine for about two years. And I've

Make sure you get the right one if you want to fit it with the kit.

Thanks for the insight, I am curious because I will be receiving a San

angled, looks to be a little less then the Hillborne. Will let you know how
it fits.

After trying a few different cantilevers on my Quickbeam, I finally
settled on using V-brakes. I did have to switch levers to do this. I
know that many people on this list disdain V-brakes, but I find that
they are excellent for braking, especially in wet weather, and I don't
have any problems
V-brakes are great. They look a little ugly compared to classic
cantilevers, but work great. Cane Creek Direct Curve kinda' splits the
difference between the two.

The real question is when will RBW release the prototype of the (lugged

Wouldn't that be something? I can only imagine how beautiful and expensive

Patrick,

I agree. Somewhat unnerving when I am waiting at a light and big truck /
