Hi Kirk,
Thanks Jamie I find your input to be most valuable, the photo shows how the
plate material has been "blown off the positive grid" a sure sign of
overcharging and overcharge rate

Wrenches, Nathan, Ray;
I'm also seeing a big red flag on battery connections and possible
corrosion.
No info was provided on system battery bank voltage ( I am assuming 24v,
from the SW inverter model number), or how the battery bank is
configured as far as series vs. parallel.
With series

Trojan T105s for over 5 years and when I
tested them last summer they were still very capable. They had about 70% of
what they had when new.

Hello,
I have
Sure sounds like constant overcharging. What is the size of the battery bank
what is the charge rate and what are the setpoints for Absorb, Absorb Time,
Float and EQ (you should also confirm these with a trusted VOM during a charge
cycle)? When batteries get too high on V, fast charging or exces
Hello,
I have an off-grid battery / generator / SW4024 system which has destroyed
-3- sets of batteries in the last five years. By destroyed I mean multiple
batteries having shorted cells, with electrolyte literally steaming out of
them and bulging badly. The last two sets were Rolls T12-250's.
