I have a problem with Samba 2.2.8a and a Win-Add that collects and calculates data
using Turbo-DB SQL.
In case two Win2K Clients are doing the same process it sometimes stopps executing
(it hangs), so that the clients just can be reseted. After turning the log-level to 4

Well, for joining a win2k/xp mashine to a samba domain the user MUST be "root",
because just root can add the new user "$" to /etc/passwd. the smb-
password for root is what ever you like!

Did you change the ip of the server after setting up the domain? I know if you do so
you have to delete the contents of the lock-dir. BUT DO NOT DELETE secrets.tdb,
because this one includes the domain-SID. If you delete this file a new Domain-SID

I am migrating to samba 3.0 and want to setup users using pdbedit (like Volker
