Well I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but the whole system becomes laggy and unstable when I move the LMS cache files to the new Primary ext4 partition. I've tried deleting and recreating the partition but the result is the same. It's not a big deal, it works well with the cache files in the def

I may have overdone itdoes it matter how large the partitions are? It's a 16gb card and I had previously resized one of the partitions within PCP to 2000meg. The additional Primary partition is 4000meg. I know it's overkill but I thought I might as well use the space. I'm away today and tom

M. I may have spoken too soon. After PcP boots up it works for a few seconds and then goes into a locked state. I may have cocked something up somewhere along the line. Strange, as it was working well. I think the new partition may have done something Should I have created a Primary or

Many thanks. I'll give Gparted a go. I remembered that I also have a Linux laptop so perhaps I'll have a look there as well. One final (unrelated) questionis it possible to copy the prefs folder from a previous M2P installation to the PCP installation? I have the prefs folder I want to use

Thank you to you both for responding, I'm very grateful. I presume I'm going to need to use Putty to create a further ext4 partition? It can't be done in Windows can it? If that is the case them I'm afraid I will need some help. What is the optimum SD card size for an LMS installation of this k

Hello I’ve had a look through the forum and read loads of threads but I’m still unsure about what is the best policy with regard to the location of the LMS cache files in PCP. I’m setting up a new Pi3 or 4 (I have both but will eventually go with the 4). My music is stored on a Qnap NAS which I’v

Hi Guys Sorry for the confusion I may have caused with my earlier post. Just to be clear, the Geekworm case I purchased was designed for the Pi4 and fits like a glove with all ports being accessable. It also seems to significantly reduce the idle temperature of my Pi4. They also make a version w

Morning All I’ve just discovered this thread so I thought I’d chime in with my Pi4/LMS experience. I have been running LMS (Max2Play) on a Pi3 for a about 18 months and it’s worked very well. The music is stored on a Nas and I regularly use the Spotty and iPlayer plugins. I’d say that there were
