I'd like to hear from someone who has experience with the "Bridge to the Tango"
CDs/DVDs.?
What are the five tapes you would recommend most for an intermediate/advanced
dancer?
And, what are the five tapes you would *NOT* recommend?
I purchased a couple of these things a few years back and I

About a week ago, there was a thread about listening to tango on international

If you're interested in listening to programming from overseas, you might want

I've been thinking about taking tango lessons. Looks pretty difficult to me.
How long does it take to be able to do these moves, anyway?

Until recently, I would guess the annual Tangomarkkinat in Seinajoki, Finland.
When I was there in 2004, it ran for five days, 10:00AM to 4:00AM daily. Most
of the music was live, too. Very strange to dance so close to the arctic

Yes, it's interesting, isn't it? I've spent quite a bit of time in both
countries and tango seems to have waxed and waned in both of them. In the
1950's and 1960's, tango in Argentina seems to have been in decline in
Argentina; but, this same is the rising "golden age" of tango in Finland.

Here's a bigger survey that was done in the Portland, Oregon area a couple of

I haven't posted on these boards in years. And, it's a rare day when I get a
post from the boards.
I've been dancing tango for 13 years. I've come to the conclusion that tango
doesn't make people arrogant. It just seems to be a magnet for arrogant people.
Anyone else make this observation?
