The update that was released was for bug 1668813 and certainly does not
affect installation of the package as it only changes a man-page.
Maybe iproute2 has issues upgrading in general yet since it is not updated so
often we don't see it?
Since I could not reproduce for now I hope that the combin
I had an image round with the older iproute2 4.3.0-1ubuntu3, so I tried
an update but it worked just fine. There must be something special to
the reported cases that makes them fail.

Never the less I want to focus the discussion of all reporters so I'm closing
this as a dup.
In the target bug there is a work
I reproduced the same defect on Artful. Also while installing updates
the libpam-systemd also failed to install with a similar trace.
