I have the idea of using wacom tablets, for fast sketch/draw and ilustration,
not for editing image or adding layers. Maybe i wrong on this.
I using mypaint on Thinkpad x200t, works perfect, but not so advances as GIMP
or similar.
Indeed, mypaint is awesome.
Pixel art programs are also worth it (I know 2 of them in the repo, can't
remember the names right now).
Krita is probably the best free tool to "draw from scratch". I normally use
GIMP with Gimp Paint Studio add-on, because that's what I've used for years
and feel comfortable with, but I'm planing on switching to Krita, as GIMP is
more oriented to photo editing.
