I've filed a bug on SUN's bugtracker, which describes a problem I have
when talking from a JAVA CORBA client to an orbit-2 server.
Basically, the JAVA client talk ISO-8859-1 on the wire instead of UTF-8
as announced by the orbit-2 server inside it's IOR. The problem is due

Maintaining two xorg packages would crank maintenance issues up
dramatically and if it came to this I suspect a 3rd party would have to

Silly me. If the backend does not provide a proper HTTP/1.1 blah
response line, Apache must assume that it's a HTTP 0.9 response. The

At my friend's comp. cdrom didn't working even ubuntu install cd can't install
system until I put the following line as kernel parameter:
all_generic_ide=1
After that cdrom works normally. This may not help you but you should
try. My friend has problem with sata controller and this solved
No change in gutsy. Gutsy can do so many clever things, but not this
basic one.

I removed my install from the adobe web site and installed acroread from
medibuntu instead ( and restored the libgtk-x11 sym links ) and all is
now well :-)

I am still seeing this bug under gutsy tribe 5.
Also, I have recently noticed that what is shown on the screen is not
exactly *random* garbage. There is usually a resemblance between the
colors in this strip at the bottom of the screen and what I had
previously viewed on my screen. Recently, a
