Hello, I have a similar problem on a Dell 6400 with jaunty.
Wireless seems the origin of it, it seems freezes occur only when I am
using it.

I'm not able to remember. I think I was asked to type something at the
command line so I pasted it in and that seems to have generated the

I have tries one of the older kernels i still have running but they do not work
anymore. so it must be the bios upgrade. darn update did not even solve the
(unrelated) problem I had.
I have now also got access to the forum, and i'll try. but they seem quite MS
centric, so i'm afraid I'll end up

I can confirm this exact behavior as described in Manowar. I can sync
one time only. Then I have to switch the device to network and close,
then bluetooth and close. Then I can sync once. I am grateful that I can
sync via bluetooth at all, but it would be nice to get it working
correctly.

I've done some more debugging now. The case where metacity runs but
immediately exits without setting SmRestartIfRunning (which also existed
in Jaunty) is not an issue, because metacity doesn't set a restart
command - so gnome-session won't restart it unless it was autostarted
when the session bega
