After having booted with the USB mouse plugged, "lsusb" completely hangs
with no output an cannot even be "kill -KILL" -ed ; it causes the kernel
to spit ugly messages in syslog.

Intel 82865G graphics controller. I'm a n00b, so I don't understand

I don't know how to reproduce this bug, it affects me quite randomly. I
would say that may be it has something to do with hibernation or
unplug/plug the laptop... i do this almost never because i use most
plugged and don't like much hibernation because that is when most bugs
appears... ;)

Binary package hint: pulseaudio
After upgrading to Lucid last night, my terminal-bell has been nearly
inaudible. I have used alsamixer to make sure all sounds levels were
high. Other system sounds, music, etc. played at a normal level. Also,

I'd really like to purge my systems of this failsafe-x nonsense. Is
there documentation some where that explain how to disable the
ironically named program? When I was bit by this bug, I didn't have
access to another computer to search for a solution. I didn't have a
console to read the logs. I

I have tried using a RT73 USB wireless connection, and this works perfectly as
wlan1.
The rt2500pci works OK by itself, but won't work with bonding, even with the
same configuration as wlan1.

I can understand why this is "correct" for the user, and in fact it's
probably correct anyway. I've removed it as a partial fix, and solved
the underlying dri/fb race as well - but this may still be a partial fix
- some people may end up with a failing to start X.
We'll fix that with the immiment
