Confirmed in Lucid Beta 1 with updates (updated online from Karmic) on
Acer laptop which does *not* have an NVidia card in it. Screen is
reversed as per Bug #544774 (Duplicate). gdm still as per Karmic, not
Lucid. No xorg.conf file in /etc/X11, although there never has been.

I think I did not explained well (sorry for my english :( ).
My idea is to use the similar (or same) color for the background wallpaper both
for playmouth, kdm and kde (i.e.: like in Ubuntu.).
A simple example is to change the kdm and kde wallpapers with colors similar to
playmouth

Same problem for me. I was running beta 1, with plymouth.
This morning, gnome-screensaver had kicked in, but wouldn't give me
password prompt to unlock.
I'd turned on alt+ctl+del, and did that: gnome finished, but gdm didn't
restart a new session.

Some questions:
* Is this package co-installable with the old fonts? It does not have
any Conflicts:/Replaces:, and indeed it might be desirable to have that,
plus some of the original extra fonts installed?

To me this problem is very problematic as it prevents apt-get from
finishing its upgrades.
So I backported the fix to the 09.10 dkms version. Maybe someone wants
to apply it ?
